Influencial Mosquito animation

I really like the design of the mosquito here, with the bug eyes and spindly legs. I also want to create a similar rotoscoping effect but using video footage as the background, like this animation.

Things to get done this week + reflection

I was happy with my progress last week, I would have liked to have filmed the background on thursday, but I couldn't get a hold of a camera. The filming is done now though, and i have pretty much gathered all of the assets needed for animating.

Things to do this week:

• Upload and edit the HD footage.
• Animate the mosquito in C4D by rotoscoping it over the video footage.
• start animating in flash over the other layers

E4 crazy nightmare

i really like the way that this stinger can be looped, and the music is interesting too.

I find this ident clever, and like the 3D elements.

E4 careful with those bags

Despite how completely simple this is, I still quite like it, and it made me watch so its fit for purpose.

This was the final storyboard for my take on the E4 stinger's competition. I went for the swatting idea because of the shape of the E4 splat, it's quite squared and matches the swatter shape.

Crab Animation

The unfortunate Life Of Crabby the Crab

This is the second animation made and the theme for this one was 'x,y,z'. I used the theme in the way of the axis. "crab goes X way, Train goes Y, vulture comes down from Z..." this was also made to reflect the '2D' cutout style.

This animation was created in cinema 4D and I found it quite difficult to get the hang of. However, I am pleased with the overall result, but would still make the odd change here and there.

Wolf Animation

Wolf Animation

This animation was created with a 1 week deadline, and allowed me to use any means of animating I chose. This was created in Flash, with a moving background, sound, and a crawling loop for the wolf, which i made by tracing over pictures.

I am very pleased with the result, and I like the cartoon style. Flash is definitely a program I find simple to work with, and I hope to use it more often in the future.

Character design - First try

First try at character design

This was my first try at character design. I was given a backstory to work from, and this was the result. He is a tramp who lives in the city, with a severe case of pigeon chest.

Oh, and he also has a nervous twitch.

This was also my first try at colouring in Photoshop, and I found it was a great program for shading and adding textures. I hope to use this more in the future.
